Talentum Flameproof Flame Detectors are designed to protect dangerous hosts where open flames may occur. Almost all types of flames can be detected, up to invisible flames such as hydrogen, including hydrocarbon with an emission of 4.3 μm.
The UV / IR2 Flame Detector is sensitive to low frequency (1-15Hz) infrared radiation emitted by flames during combustion.
This detector has a UV sensor and two IR sensors. Both ultraviolet and infrared sensors detect different spectrum wavelengths of the flame.
Simultaneous detection of both UV and IR light by the sensors gives an alarm signal. False alarms from flickering sunlight, arc welding and lightning are eliminated by a combination of UV and dual IR signal processing techniques.
The Talentum UV / IR2 detector has standard dry contact relay outputs or selectable output options for a 4-20mA analog signal.
